Positive vote on the draconian draft law “Stop abortion” in the Committee on Justice has resulted not only in many examples of fierce civic opposition like mass mobilization on the Black Friday (23.04; circa 90000 participants), but also it has captured attention of foreign media, NGOs and human rights bodies.
Poland has received many proofs of international solidarity, including statements by the UN human rights experts, a group of MEPs, the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, and over 200 NGOs from across the globe (more about their statement and signatories).
